Verification, compliance & contact

One place for the whole picture: what gets checked before anything is called verified, the regulatory position we operate under, how an introduction actually runs, and how to reach us.

What happens before anything is verified

"Verified" on The Suit is not a badge we award ourselves. It means a specific list of documents has been checked by a licensed third party. Until every stage below is complete, a listing or an account stays unverified and no funds move.

  1. 1 · Identity (KYC)

    • Government photo ID and a proof of address dated within 3 months
    • For companies: registration number, directors, and beneficial owners above 25%

Collected and held by the licensed partner — not by The Suit.

  2. 2 · Source of funds (AML)

    • Bank statement, sale contract, or accountant letter evidencing the funds
    • Sanctions and PEP screening against live watchlists

Run by the partner under UK Money Laundering Regulations.

  3. 3 · Asset verification

    • Diamonds: GIA report number checked against gia.edu
    • Metals: assay or refinery serial checked against an LBMA-listed vault receipt
    • Land & liens: title search plus county lien position confirmed by a licensed closer

Independent gemologist, vault, or title company of your choosing.

  4. 4 · Partner verification

    • Active licence (FCA, IATA, FinCEN, or state equivalent) confirmed at the registry
    • Professional indemnity and cargo insurance certificates on file

Re-checked by us on a rolling 12-month cycle.

  5. 5 · Release

    • Escrow only releases after you confirm the asset matches its paperwork
    • Chain-of-custody signatures at every hop of transit

Stripe-managed escrow; The Suit never holds client funds.

The Suit is an introducer. We do not hold assets, hold client money, or give legal, tax, or investment advice. Every check above is performed by the licensed partner or an independent inspector you approve.
